Are animations hard to do in Attila, also are you guys fully committing to Attila?

Have you guys started working on rosters for the elves? Also you guys have combined the Iron Hills and Erebor correct?

This is looking so amazing the quality is mind blowing.

I'm just leaving some feedback and suggestions:

Let's begin with Dale. I have noticed it has some pretty good range units, but there is just only 1 unit of javelins (Rivermen). As far as I'm concerned all javelin like units are Militia type, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to add a trained/elite javelin type of unit, and since Dale has got some greek references in design, maybe you could add a ''peltast'' kind of unit. You know the royal peltasts from Rome 2? It could be something similar. This unit would be as good as Dalian Swordsmen, plus equipped with some Javelins to deal heavy damage from some distance. About the armor, I think you should use something similar to the Dale captain armor, but with some slight differences, mainly in the helmet, so that it looks different. It really has a greek style so it would fit pretty well.

I really think that if you toyed around this idea you would come up with something great.

Let's continue with Gondor. I think it is pretty much done, although I miss the Osgiliath infantry from the Third age mod (Osgiliath guard for instance) I also have seen you would like to add the wards of the star dome, but The fountain guards are already an elite pikemen unit, so unless there are huge differences I'm not sure if they would be worth it. I have realized that the only type of unit that gondor lacks is a Halberdier. It is a very versatile weapon.

I think a Halberdier guard unit could fit Gondor extremely well. I must say I have used halberdiers a lot in total war warhammer, and I think that if you are going to add units such as trolls and mumakils, they should be useful.

A havy armored halberdier really fits both Gondor and Rhun.

Now then another suggestion, this time for Harad. Harad is very Persian/Arabian like, with the addition of some African looking tribe units (Mumakils are pretty much elephants which live in Africa, and piercings and horn like details are common there). It might not be a bad idea to make an elite infantry unit that looked like the Persian immortals seen in the 300 movie, they could look as seen here:

Persian/Arabian units in general could be great reference for it too:

That is all I can think at the moment, keep up the good work!

Something I have just remembered is that Harad or rhun had dwarves in its army, though I cannot remember much about it. There were far eastern dwarves in the evil side, so I think that if it is true, a dwarf unit for them wouldn't be a bad addition:

When it comes to Easterlings (Rhun) you already have an amazing artist (Luke Martins). He has done a great job portraying the easterlings as an Asian like empire. I can see the indian, mongolian and Chinese references. all I can say is I have noticed the upper part of the helmet ooks like the hat of a Japanese Yari Ashigaru, so maybe a Rhun unit with a similar hat in design could be nice as a militia unit.

Easterling armor is also kinda similar to samurai's, see this:
I.warosu.org
Isn't it quite similar?

Tell Luke about the jingasa helmet, could be useful for a militia unit.

Also I think rhun should get a chariot unit, Dwarves should have access to chariots too.

For other inspirations I'd recommend games workshop rhun miniatures, there is awesome stuff:

Appreciate the thought involved in this comment! I dirtily love some of games workshops easterlings, however i have been blending stuff with more logic and history to make stuff more original and suiting, for example my plan for officers is a two handed axe rather than a massive sword aha, the helmet you showed is interesting but if i did try to use it id really have to try and makr it original looking, im really trying for them not to be a recongisable faction from our history, despite taking from it.

Trolls would make easterlings so very op, and with the cavalry they have most factions should fear them, and if you love gamesworkshop, look forward to my katapkhrakt preview, ive done the entire faction behind the scenes it just hasnt been previewed!... Militia, elites, light cav etc is yet to be previewed.

I really like the black hooded design but Rhun has a fair share of elites that im not sure needs expanding, if they had a ranger unit for example thats just another unit that dale and gondor both have, its about finding that balance. And then theres the weaknesses of each faction etc.

Pitt rivers here in oxford has a host of tribal and samurai armour and ridiculous amounts of weapons so ive also been using that to help visualise.

Theres also khand involved who have chariots though im doing art for them as id like to carry on with Harad designs.

Isn't that to many for powerful and yet big ( in size and strength ) units ?

We'll see how it goes once the units have been animated and modelled. It can always change of course, I just think that without area of effect animations (1 attack hitting multiple enemies), 24 is the lowest unit size you can go and still keep it reasonably balanced.

Are special units like trolls and oliphaunts ( mumakil ) going to be a single unit or maybe a group ?
Well done for presenting this master piece and keep up with the great work.

Probably a group, such as 12 or 24 of them.
